Today began with swans and ended with peacocks ... this is what I would call a very good day!

This Universe is filled with so much beauty I could never exhaust it in a hundred years, a thousand years or even a billion years. The beauty doesn't exist for humankind's sake ... it existed long before humans appeared and it will continue to exist long after humans have gone extinct.
In such a Universe as this it is quite sad and very distressing to notice how humans have filled the entire Earth with sorrows and that in every human mind there are at least 1000 negative thoughts for every single good thought.
Humankind is a tragedy of immense proportions, even cosmic proportions, and it is especially unfortunate that there is no cure whatsoever for all those illnesses which afflict the human animal. The body, mind and soul are all a lost cause. Humankind is beyond reach and beyond hope and out of time.
I got into an argument with a conservative about the future. It doesn't matter in the least (to me) whether I win or lose the argument. Changing one mind or a million minds or a billion minds or even all of humankind's minds isn't going to change the outcome. Humankind's fate is sealed: Extinction Ahead ... and there are no U-turns or exit ramps nor any appeals available either to God or Nature or Fate.
Perhaps humankind's failure might serve as a lesson for some future species, so all is not lost ... no, no, no. The human experiment is a once-in-a-universe event. It isn't ever going to happen again either on the Earth or anywhere else throughout the cosmos.
Don't believe any positive or optimistic predictions about humankind's glorious future. If you want to know humankind's certain future visit a museum and look at the fossils. Humankind will be preserved as fossils, too, except ... not in a museum.
Once humankind is gone our species is gone and forgotten forever. No Heaven. No Hell. No future conquering the stars. No future on the Earth.
The reward that humankind receives for all of its self-destructiveness foolishness: Nonexistence and nothingness.
