Isn't it wonderful to live on such a beautiful planet? Every morning I wake up and I'm already immersed in beauty, life, Nature and the Universe. These are the things which matter to me and I can dispense with everything else ... that is, all the trivialities which trouble the small minds of humankind.
I've spent my whole life doing this and it has always seemed a good way to live. The Universe is too large, beautiful and mysterious to simply neglect and dismiss as irrelevant. All the time that humans spend away from Nature is wasted time.
What really matters? Does anything at all matter?
Humans are in a perpetual frenzy for the sake of nothing. All of humankind's goals are worthless and headed to the trash heap. Nature preserves no memories. Nature builds no monuments. Nature simply keeps on living even when an arrogant and foolish species chooses to drive itself extinct.
While at the beach it is quite possible to sense 4,000,000,000 years of history filled with tides, waves, sunsets, sunrises and life. Within such a context it is simply absurd to imagine that Nature has spent all of this time waiting for humankind to appear and make a mess of the planet.
Humans are not the apex of evolution. Humans aren't created in the image of God. Humankind really doesn't amount to much ... just another primate species which a long time ago became confused about its place in the Universe simply because its closest evolutionary ancestors went extinct before out species gained self consciousness and an ability to preserve a memory of the past.
I reject the division between humankind and Nature. I reject all of the manufactured divisions which humans have created for the sake of dividing. I reject all national boundaries. I reject and accept all religions as my own.
Don't wave a flag and tell me that I am under some obligation to a nation. There are 6.7 billion humans on the planet, soon 9 billion, and it is about time for humankind to grow up.
The nation-state ranks among humankind's very worst ideas. If humankind wants to avoid extinction our species really needs some new ideas.
Too bad for humankind. Humans ran out of ideas a long, long time ago.
